Alina Oltean-Cîmpean is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj. She is the person responsible for the professional practice of 2nd and 3rd year students from English Major, and she is also affiliated to the Alpha Language Centre from Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj.

She is currently working in the field of multilingualism and dealing with multilingual practices of both native and non-native Romanian speakers.

Research interests: sociolinguistics, multilingualism, bilingualism, language contact phenomena, lexicology, language ideologies
