Key strengths include a comprehensive teaching approach to difficult areas of Linguistics, active researcher in Generative Syntax, experience and expertise in language testing & evaluation, European and institutional language policies, and CEFR European standards for teaching and assessment.
Defended PhD thesis with summa cum laudein 2009, at Babeş-Bolyai University, in the field of Theoretical linguistics on Non-finite and Small Clauses in English and Romanian.
Currently employed as lecturerat the English Department of the Faculty of Letterswith a teaching load of undergraduateintro coursesin Generativegrammar, Semantics, History of English language, Sociolinguistics (Language and culture) and MA courses inGenerative syntax (Theoretical models in minimalist syntax) and Sociolinguistics (Language and gender: conversational rituals.)
Director of the EAQUALS-accreditedALPHA Language Centreof the Faculty of Letters, which provides, to both students and the general public, non-curricular language courses and CEFR- calibrated language examinations and certificates.
